Hopfenland Hallertau

Leisure

Hop country

The Hallertau area is hop-growing country, a picturesque region of low mountains in the heart of Bavaria. Hops have been grown here, between Munich, Ingolstadt, Landshut and Regensburg, for over 1200 years. Because of its traditions and the excellent quality of the harvest, Hallertau is still today one of the most important hop-growing areas in the world.

Sightseeing

The surrounding area has a great wealth of attractions large and small to offer. Visit interesting places such as the Hundertwasser-inspired Kuchlbauer Tower in Abensberg, the German Hop Museum in Wolnzach or the abbey of Scheyern and spend a fascinating day chasing the perfect snapshot.
